Building Leaders Through Drill
Central Regional Cadet Corps Hosts 10th Inter-SHS & TVET School Drill Competition

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, all roads will lead to Jubilee Park, Cape Coast, for the 10th Inter Senior High and TVET School Regional Drill Competition, organized by the Central Regional Cadet Corps. The event kicks off at 8:00 AM and promises a spectacular display of discipline, teamwork, and youthful leadership.
This year’s competition is more than just a contest of drill precision — it is a celebration of values that shape responsible future leaders. With the theme:
“Emphasizing the importance of community service, teamwork, and developing leadership skills while instilling a sense of responsibility and civic duty in cadets,”
the event aims to spotlight the core principles of cadet training and its impact on the youth of Ghana.
Cadet Corps across senior high and TVET institutions in the region will come together to showcase their skills in ceremonial drills, synchronize movements, and command presence. These activities are more than visually impressive they nurture qualities such as discipline, respect for authority, commitment, and collaboration.
The significance of this competition extends beyond the parade ground. It is a testament to how extracurricular activities in schools play a pivotal role in shaping the character of students. By promoting civic responsibility and leadership through cadet programs, the Ghana Education Service and partnering institutions are ensuring that students leave school not just with academic knowledge, but also with a strong moral compass and the ability to lead and serve their communities.
This event is proudly sponsored by J.A. Biney & Company Limited, with support from the Regional Cadet Corps leadership. Parents, teachers, alumni, and the general public are all encouraged to attend and support the participating schools and cadets.
Let’s come together to celebrate the power of youth, patriotism, and service!
